Fright Nights at Winchester Mystery House Review

Finally! Winchester Mystery House has it's own maze. This mysterious and historical house has always had the perfect atmosphere for a haunted maze and this year they made it happen!  The Winchester Mystery House is putting on an event called Fright Nights that include the Halloween Flashlight tour and the all new maze Curse of Sarah Winchester.

Description: "For a lifetime, Sarah Winchester built and built and rebuilt her house to avoid this treacherous curse and escape her husband’s legacy of damnation. But this Halloween, a portal, a gateway between Heaven and Hell, has been irretrievably opened. Those who perished long ago are seeking revenge, now ready to sacrifice souls before midnight strikes.

Guests find themselves trapped inside a mansion empowered by the undead, traveling through the Corn Fields of Winchester Mystery House, into the haunted ruins of the family Graveyard and ultimately, a showdown with Sarah herself in the middle of one of her infamous séances."

Curse of Sarah Winchester Review:

Going through this maze on Saturday October first, I didn't know what to expect. As I went through the maze it just kept getting better and better. My mind was blown. Its certainly everything I expected from a maze and more. Great unexpected scares, immersive atmosphere, gorgeous props and perfect music. The scares were not expected at all, they changed as I went through for my second time to even my fifth time. It wasn't like someone is going to pop out here or there. When they pop out they gotcha, they gotcha good! I really like how they spread out the people going though the maze so it didn't feel like a conga line like most mazes. It definitely was a great way to kick off the Halloween Season!

Overall rating:
( On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 for Awesome!)
Design: 10
Scares: 10
Atmosphere: 10
This is one Haunt I won't forget! I'll be back for more!

 Helpful Tips:
1.) Be sure to buy a VIP Maze ticket, I can guarantee you be wanting to go through more than once. Its worth it!

2.) Details! Make sure to be on the look out, not just for the scare performers. But the eye catching props created for this maze. To a life-size replica of Mrs. Winchester's tombstone to the eerie carved pumpkins scarecrows throughout the maze. Also the number 13 plays a roll in the maze. 13 pumpkins, 13 candles, how many can you find?

3.) Arrive early to see the pre-show. It creates a nice entertaining back story for the maze.

4.) Going on the Halloween Flashlight Tour is a great addition to the maze.  Don't worry there are no scare performers on the tour.

(Fright Nights cupcakes too cute to eat.)
