Knott's Scary Farm 2013 Maze Update: Pinocchio Unstrung Returns

(Photo from Knott's Scary Farm's Facebook page.)

Knott's Scary Farm has made another new announcement for their annual Halloween Haunt event. Their latest reveal was a brand new Edgar Allan Poe themed maze called Forevermore. Though this new announcement didn't present anything new, it didn't disappoint. Pinocchio Unstrung is a returning maze to this year's event. It made it's debut last year during the 40th Halloween Haunt and was a huge hit!

Here's the announcement from their official Facebook page:

Returning Maze!

Several years after the blue fairy denies him his final wish, Pinocchio erupts in a wild killing spree, where he and his army of murderous marionettes seek the fles...h from his former masters to cover his twisted, wooden body.

Revenge comes with no strings attached.

From the demented mind of Haunt Maze Designer Daniel Miller - the twisted creator of Delirium, Fallout Shelter and many others.

Think you know the whole story? Think again. Pinocchio Unstrung returns for 2013 with more surprises, more twists and turns....and more insanity. Be careful what you wish for..."

I'm glad that Pinocchio Unstrung is a returning maze at this year's event. I absolutely fell in love with this maze. Especially with it's highly detailed sets and captivating story. You'll definitely want to go through this maze more then once to fully grasp the whole twisted experience. I'm looking forward to revisiting this dark nightmarish fairy tale once again!

Check out this Pinocchio Unstrung preview from 2012 video:

And so the waiting game continues, be sure to keep a close eye on Knott's Scary Farm's Facebook page for upcoming announcements!

Forevermore: A New Maze Revealed For Knott's Scary Farm's Annual Halloween Haunt

Yesterday Knott's Berry Farm made an announcement on their official Facebook page, of the first maze in their Halloween Haunt 2013 line up. Knott's Berry Farm has been bringing terror into the Halloween season since 1973 with their annual Halloween Haunt event. Before their big reveal yesterday they released a rather interesting hint, "Did you hear that? I thought heard someone rapping on the door." This hint made me instantly think of the post I saw on tumblr a few months ago:

Haha, Anyways here is the official announcement:

(Photo from Knott's Scary Farm's Facebook page.)

"From Brooke Walters, the creator of The Doll Factory and Trick-Or-Treat, comes a new chapter in terror:

... Follow in the footsteps of the darkly troubled writer Edgar Allan Poe through a nightmare conjured up by a modern madman. Each of Poe's bloodsoaked and terror-filled tales will envelope you in their insanity and horror. Page by page you will descend deeper into the subconscious of the man who invented American horror.
Forevermore is gothic horror with a modern day twist.
Will you escape?
Or will you remain in the horror Forevermore...?

Forevermore will be behind Mystery Lodge for Haunt 2013, home to former classic mazes Terror of London, 13 Axe Murder Manor and Blood Bayou.

See you in the fog...."

(Forevermore will be taking the place of the former maze, Terror of London.)

During Knott's 40th Halloween Haunt they brought new mazes to the table such as Trick Or Treat, Pinocchio Unstrung, and Dominion of the Dead. Which were all big hits for me. Especially Pinocchio Unstrung, I'm a sucker for dark and twisted fairy tales.

Here's a look at last year's Halloween Haunt event:

Though the Edgar Allen Poe theme for haunted attraction is nothing new, Universal Studios Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights showcased a Poe based maze back in 2011 called Nevermore: The Madness of Poe. Also Busch Garden's Howl-O-Scream in Tampa presented Nevermore in 2011 and 2012. It's seems Knott's Scary Farm is jumping on the bandwagon, I'm curious to see their twist on Poe.

What other new mazes will Knott's Scary Farm showcase? Time to play the waiting game!
