St. Patrick's Day Themed Haunts

Did you know there are St. Patrick's Day themed haunted attractions? Me either, I didn't even know they existed! I've seen haunts for Christmas and even ones for Valentine's Day but never for St. Patrick's Day. I came across a few haunted attractions from around the web with a sinister irish theme but not too many. It seems this isn't quite a common trend for haunted attractions just quite yet. Check out my findings down below!

1. Dark Hour's Saint Patrick's Slay Weekend - Plano, Texas

"The coven has summoned ancient evils of Ireland to wreak havoc on our world, but these Irish fiends have plans of their own..."

The Dark Hour Haunted Attraction invites you to experience the fear at their twisted upcoming St. Patty's Day themed event. From March 14th and 15th come face to face with evil leprechauns and other ghoulish creatures lurking in the dark corners at Dark Hour's Saint Patrick's Slay Weekend. Tickets for this event are available now and can be purchased online here. If you want to purchase tickets onsite, Dark Hour has posted a $3.00 off coupon on their official Facebook Page.

For more information on the event, visit the official Dark Hour Haunted House website

The nightmares don't stop there, Dark Hour will be open once a month through July with different themed events. Check out the full list of events here.

2. Brighton Asylum's 4 Leaf Cleaver - Passaic, New Jersey

For one horror filled night only on March 15th the Brighton Asylum Haunted Attraction will be hosting their "4 Leaf Cleaver" event. Not many details have been revealed on what exactly will be waiting for you at Brighton Asylum, only that this will be one intense spine-chilling experience! Ticket info and more details on the event can be found here.

If your luck didn't run out at the 4 Leaf Cleaver event, then celebrate Scream Break on March 29th at the Brighton Asylum! More info here.

3. Krypt Patrick's Scare-A-Bration - Essex, Maryland

On March 14th-16th join Kim's Krypt for a weekend of scary fun at their Krypt Patrick's Scare-A-Bration event. This event is for all ages and will include an interactive haunted attraction and even hearse rides! For those brave enough to enter the eerie corridors of the haunted attraction, you'll be given special green coins to take with you for interactive terrifying journey with the scare actors. Their website doesn't go into too many details on the attraction itself, so it looks like there's only one way to find out...

Tickets are available online now through this link. If you want to purchase tickets onsite you can save $2 by bringing this flyer here or save $5 by wearing a Kim's Krypt shirt or hoodie. Head over to the official Kim's Krypt website for more details.

This next event isn't St. Patty's Day themed but I thought I would include it since it will be open around this holiday.

Apocalypse: Live Action Zombie Experience - Phoenix, Arizona

"Think you’ve got what it takes to survive the zombie apocalypse? Here is your chance to prove it! Apocalypse is a live action zombie experience. You and your team of four will use state-of-the-art weapons to clear the apocalyptic cityscape of the walking dead. Part real-life video game and part themed entertainment is a once-in-a-lifetime-experience you don’t want to miss."

Sounds like a blast! Who doesn't want to shoot some zombies?

Apocalypse is presented by 13th Floor Haunted House and will take place on Friday, March 14th from 6p-11pm and Saturday, March 15th 2p-11pm. Visit the official website for more information:

If I'm missing any St. Patty's Day haunts, let me know and I'll add them it to the list!

The Sinister Pointe Haunted Attraction is Moving

On March 1st, the Sinister Pointe Haunted Attraction announced they are moving out of their current location and into a brand new building for their upcoming events. If you are unfamiliar with Sinister Pointe, they have been developing haunted attractions for over 15 years throughout Southern California and at numerous locations all over the world. (Learn more here.) Sinister Pointe also announced that they will be producing a brand new haunted attraction for 2014. You can read the full statement from Sinister Pointe down below!

Sinister Pointe family, friends and fans:

The time has come for us to close yet another chapter in our years of terror and begin a new and exciting one.

Due to the limitations of our current facility, Sinister Pointe is gearing up to move out of that location and into a brand new building that will give us the ability to bring you more heart-poundi
ng events throughout the year.

But don't worry. We are not moving far. We are now reviewing a few locations just blocks away from our current location. We will be sure to keep everyone in the loop as things progress.

We are very excited for this move and you should be too! We will be producing an entirely brand new haunted attraction for 2014. Along with that comes new shows and other fun events.

So in the celebration of this exciting new chapter and a heartfelt goodbye to a location with three years of amazing memories, we have a special treat that will be announced on Friday, March 7th.

Again, thank you for the years of support. We can't wait to share many more years of fear with each and every one of you.

Sinister Pointe will be having two more events at their current location. One of their last events will be the Horror Movie Night event featuring a showing of Trick 'r Treat in 4D on March 22nd.
