Fortune Cookie Soap Zombie Survival Kit Box Review

I have been a fan of Fortune Cookie Soap ever since they came out with their Nightmare Before Christmas themed collection from December 2013. I fell in love with their adorable packaging and delightful scents. If you have never heard of Fortune Cookie Soap before, they are an bath and body company with numerous unique products to choose from, a subscription box service, and fun tie ins. Like Harry Potter, The Wizard of Oz, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, etc.

This year, Fortune Cookie Soap released a limited edition box just for the Halloween season called Zombie Survival Kit. This box was not part of their traditional Fortune Cookie Soap box subscription, but rather an extra add on. There are usually four boxes included in the subscription. One for each season, fall, winter, spring, and summer. Eight sample size products are included in this box to help you survive the zombie apocalypse. This particular soap box is sadly not available anymore, but have no fear! All the products you see below will be on sale (in full sizes) on their website this Friday, September 25th at 6pm CST.

Now on to the review!

The Zombie Survival Kit arrived at my door last week covered in bloody hand-prints and caution tape, looks like some unlucky zombie victims were trying to get their hands on this box. Each kit comes with a guide of all the products included in the box, I have provided all the product descriptions below for you to enjoy.

Safe Zone - Fortune Cookie Soap
Description: Nowhere is safe anymore, fences can only keep them out for so long. Remember when life was "normal"? No zombies to worry about. No running for your life. Ahhh the good ol' days when you could wake up to a stack of mouth watering hotcakes, topped with berries and cream. Yeah me too.

Fortune Cookie Soap's signature item! Smells just like the description, yum! The little fortune that I got with my soap says "Everybody loves a hero".

Blood Transfusion - Body Wash
Description: With the horrors of death and decay all around, keep yourself clean and infection free with your own personal supply of blood transfusion body wash - if that's even possible. Rocky candy and bloated berries, with a smear of sticky bubble gum.

I honestly haven't used this product yet because I don't want to ruin the great packaging, it's too cute to open! But I get a strong scent of berries oozing from the bag.

 Wound Repair - Salve
Description: Yeeeah...good luck with that. Lace-like films of cool, white ice, drizzled with melted chocolate. To Use: Apply to wounds (or crackled, dry knuckles and elbows as needed)

Mint chocolaty goodness, it smells good enough to eat! This is going to be in my bag at all times. Very convenient for the upcoming winter season.

Zombie Repellent - Room Spray
Description: It may not work - but it's worth a try! Rotten apple flesh & mulled fruits decomposing on spicy cinnamon sticks, dusted with brown sugar, muted with black vanilla bean and warm oak.

This room spray smells just like autumn, it's fall in a bottle! All that's missing is the smell of pumpkin. Never knew zombies were afraid of autumn scents, very good to know. Definitely will be using this room spray throughout the season.

Weapon of Choice - OCD Hand Sanitizer
Description: Now's your chance to battle both germs and zombies at the same time. A splash of white wine distilled with rotting peaches, and decayed citrus.

I absolutely love the peach scent! Got to say I am loving these zombie themed descriptions from Fortune Cookie Soap

Airborn - Steam Me Up Scotty!
Description: We're all infected - there's no escaping it. Rich, dark coffee swirled with thick caramel and melted chocolate.

Anything that smells like chocolate is always a win for me. I haven't tried their shower steamer products before so I'm excited to test this product out.

Rule #47 - Whipped Cream
Description: Rule #47 - Always Stay Moisturized. Grotesque green apple flesh, oozing with blackened caramel.

Rule #47 is just as important as Rule #2, always remember to double tap! This smells just like caramel apples and I love it! Definitely one of my favorite products in the box.

Liquid Courage - Perfume Oil
Description: Desperate times call for desperate measures...bottoms up! Puffy clouds of cotton candy dripping with sticky raspberries, pineapples, and wild watermelon, all wrapped in the soft embrace of night blooming flowers.

This is another product I have yet to open because of it's adorable packaging, I don't want to ruin the red drippy wax seal on top. But I instantly smell the scents of watermelon and pineapples coming from the bottle. This reminds me of the perfume I got in their Alice in Wonderland themed box called Eat Me. Both smelled like delicious fruity candy that I wanted to eat.

Overall, everything literally smells frightfully good. There wasn't one scent that I didn't like. My favorite products in the box would have to be Rule #47, Weapon of Choice, and Liquid Courage. I am in love with all the packaging on these products. You can tell a lot of love went into these items by the detailed labels and the themed descriptions, I am always a sucker for cute packaging. Thanks to Fortune Cookie Soap, I'm officially all set for the Zombie Apocalypse.

Halloween 2015 Finds at Michaels

Halloween is approaching fast, it will be here before you know it! Many stores have already started putting out their spooky decorations out on display. I always admired Michaels as being the first store at putting out their Halloween items out first, it always get me in the Halloween spirit early. As always, Michaels has plenty of Halloween decorations, home decor, crafts, faux pumpkins, their annual Lemax Spooky Town collection, and much more.

Take a look at some of my favorite Halloween finds from Michaels!

Skulls, skeletons, and more!

Skeletons just hanging around waiting for Halloween.

Love these pillows, the skull one came home with me.

These themed jars are fun!

These pumpkins halves are quite interesting. These would look great with a carved design and hung up on a wall with light placed inside.

These floral decorations feel like they belong in a Tim Burton film.

These Halloween themed wreaths that Michaels put together are very festive!

I always love looking at the Lemax Spooky Town collection, I don't own any due to lack of space but maybe one day I will cave in.

Just by looking at this piece makes me excited to visit pumpkin patches soon.

~Cave Sweet Cave~

Who wants to go to the Creepy Clown Academy?

~Dia de los Muertos~

I absolutely love these themed mason jars, especially the vampire blood one. I purchased the vampire blood jar, I'm tempted to get the others.

Haunted portraits, chains, eyeballs, caution tape, masks, and more to haunt your home.

This witch mask is new! Last year Michael's came out with a skeleton version of this mask which you can see creepin up behind.

Here's a better photo of the skeleton mask.

Cute little spooks!

Skeleton frogs! Bought one of these last year, they go great with my other skeleton animals props.

These skull candles have some great detail.

Aren't these trick or treat pumpkins cute?

You can never have enough Halloween signs, right?

It's coming...

Halloween candy!

Minions...minions everywhere.

Mmmm blood lollipops.

I haven't seen these zombie hand gummy lollipops before, are they new?

My haul from Michaels so far, a white skull pillow, a vampire blood mason jar, changing haunted portrait stickers, and Halloween scrapbooking cutouts. I had my eye on a few other Halloween items that I may go back for in the coming weeks, like those themed mason jars.

Update!!! It appears Michaels already has most of their Halloween decor on sale. Seems a bit early for their Halloween items to be on sale but I'm not complaining!

If you didn't know already, Michaels is always providing weekly coupons that you can use at their store and online. They also have an app too! Be on the lookout for these coupons so you can save on their Halloween offerings!

What do you think of the Halloween offerings from Michaels this year? Have you started Halloween shopping yet?

ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween 2015 Schedule

Halloween is less than two months away! It's time to start stocking up on ghoulish delights and plan some Halloween movie marathons! Furthermore, ABC Family has released their 13 Nights of Halloween 2015 schedule to help get you started. This annual spooktacular celebration will begin on Monday, October 19th and end on Saturday, October 31st this year. Their lineup includes classics like Hocus Pocus, Sleepy Hollow, The Nightmare Before Christmas, The Addams Family, and more frightfully fun films.

I would love to see ABC Family do 31 Nights of Halloween instead of the usual 13 Nights of Halloween in the future. ABC Family does 25 Days of Christmas, why not 31 days of Halloween? Seriously, 13 nights is simply not enough!

Check out the full 2015 lineup down below!

To view the complete 13 Nights of Halloween 2015 schedule visit here!

Hmm, it appears Beetlejuice doesn't make an appearance in their lineup this year. Maybe if we say his name three times he will appear. Other classics are missing from their lineup as well, like Halloweentown and The Little Vampire. I still think it's weird that The Hunger Games is included in their schedule, it was on their 2014 schedule also. Very odd.

What are your thoughts on ABC Family's 13 Nights of Halloween lineup for 2015?
